Climate change study in tribal belt of Uttarakhand and Himachal

A study on impact of climate change in five villages of Uttarakhand and three villages in Himachal Pradesh will be conducted by Mountain Forum Himalayas (MFH) made up of six NGOs each from the two states. These villages are located at altitudes of 6,000 feet and above and are mostly inhabited by tribals. The study will be conducted in Munsiyari in Pithoragarh, Raithal and Mori in Uttarkashi, Tapovan in Chamoli and Badhani Tal in Rudraprayag. Kaza, Kinnaur and Keylong villages will be studied in Himachal.   Read full story...
